Benjamin the Bear is happiest when he is playing outdoors. Each day, our Weather Reporter takes Benjamin to the window to check the weather. The helper then reports back to the class. The class discusses what they see outside, then dresses Benjamin in the appropriate clothes for the day!

Hi! We are the Cates Family- Colt, Mike, and Shae. We moved from Dallas to Devonshire Last August & joined the Primrose family soon after. We love Forney because we are surrounded by family, friends, the best neighbors, and Primrose Gateway is a huge blessing to us.
Mike owns Fortress Metal Buildings, selling and building shops & Barndominiums all around Texas! Shae is a hair stylist at Abstrakt Studio in beautiful Frisco! We have been together since high school and were blessed with little Colty 3 years ago.
We love spending time together as a family watching movies, going to the zoo, and playing Monster trucks! We’re always eager to meet new friends and we just love our Primrose Family!

Goal: To plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning
Qualifications:
• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
• Infant - Preschool Teachers: 2 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred
• Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4 year degree in early childhood or related field required

Our daughter was a "day 1" student in their private pre-school when Primrose of Forney at Gateway opened. We will be in their Explorers after school care for the next few years. They have been simply AMAZING! They have handled this past year like rock stars, and I have never questioned her safety there. I am so grateful to the Primrose family for taking such great care of her and teaching her well!

This first time mom has been so pleased with the Primrose experience. Updates throughout the day via app keeps my mind at ease. The staff has done a fantastic job, in my opinion, keeping everyone safe during the pandemic. And the best indicator of all is that my daughter is always happy to go and clearly loves the staff and her teachers. A happy baby = a happy mama! I love having a daycare option that cares about my child’s development.

In conjunction with Forney ISD - school will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19.
School will resume at normal business hours on Monday (weather permitting).
