Happy Birthday to Molly the Cow and all of sweet September babies! Molly is our sweet spotted cow who loves to count! As far as Molly’s concerned, everything we do at Primrose is fair game for counting, from the days of the week to the spots on her tummy. She especially likes counting with others.
Today is Grandparents Day! They may go by many names- Bubbe, PopPop, Gemma, and many more, but they all hold a special place in our hearts. Our Fire Truck playground is complete! We cannot wait for all of our friends to come and enjoy their outside time! This playground will be utilized by our 2 1/2 year old Preschool Pathways class through our after school Explorers. Introducing our Magical Pumpkin Patch. Today our friends got to go out to our Camp Fire playground to read books about pumpkins. Our Pumpkin Patch is considered magical because we are reading about pumpkins to bring them into existence. The children will be able to go back out tomorrow and pick a pumpkin to take home! 🎃
We love the outdoors and watching the children explore the beautiful, big playgrounds. Whether it's kicking a ball in Preschool Pathways, playing peek-a-boo in Early Preschool or making art masterpieces in Kindergarten, there is always fun to be had in the great outdoors!🎾⛹️⚽
Our bike rack was installed this week 🚴♀️ so feel free to pedal to school from now on, too.

We are not only taking temperatures of students and staff as they enter the building, but have begun implementing temperature checks through out the day. This month our students took some time to bring smiles to some of our neighbors at Brookdale the Heights through our Adopt-A-Grandparent program. We may not be able to go visit in person, but our students made sure each resident received a special handmade ornament and holiday card. Our Adopt-A-Grandparent Program is an integral part of our Balanced Learning. This program compliments and enhances Balanced Learning by creating opportunities for young children and senior citizens to develop respectful, positive relationships through engaging experiences. 🎄🎁👵

This week, our students have taken on map making as we learn about our world in motion. Our Kindergarten students took a tour of the school before creating their own school map on our campfire playground. While some of our younger students took on a class art project to paint a large interactive map. 🌎🧭

Last week our Pre-Kindergarten class learned their parent's phone numbers during Noggin' Joggin'. Ally the Bunny taught the students that if you get lost, you can find a grownup or police officer, you can give them your phone number, and then they will call your parents. #safetyfirst

Philip relocated to Houston in 2010 from Aberdeen, Scotland with work. Nicole moved to Houston from Oklahoma (Go Sooners!) for a new job that same year. We met about a year later and got married in 2015 in Asheville, North Carolina. A few years later, we were blessed with our son Jamie. He is such a sweet boy and is full of energy. Our blessings continued when our daughter Pippa was born a couple years later. Her favorite thing to do is laugh at her silly older brother.
We love living in Oak Forest and wanted to have our kids attend daycare close to home so they could make friends in the neighborhood. We were excited when we heard of the plans for the Primrose Garden Oaks location. After touring the Summerwood location and hearing about their approach to childcare and learning, we were sold on going to Primrose Garden Oaks. We greatly appreciate how attentive, responsive and loving the staff has been since the first day.
As we walk into the month of February we are pleased to announce Ms. Yulma as our Apple our Eye. Every month with help from our families we select an Apple of our eye. Ms. Yulma is our current EP2 teacher. We want to thank Ms. Yulma for helping us with all she does and always coming to work with a huge smile and an even bigger heart.
