For the past four weeks we have been studying our Alike and Different Unit of Learning, where we have focused on teaching our students to celebrate their family heritage and uniqueness, while also teaching them compassion and respect for others. Today we ended this unit with our annual Celebrating Cultures event, where we created flags to represent our family origins and shared about our family traditions during show-and-tell. What a wonderful way to end this unit!
This week is Fire Prevention Week! Although we weren’t able to visit with the firefighters, our students were so excited to make them thank you cards and dress in red. We delivered our cards and treats to them today to show appreciation for all they do to keep us safe! 🚒
