Everyday we assess the children's skills for a variety of reasons and in a variety of ways. The Balanced Assessment includes ongoing evaluations of each child’s progress in specific learning domains that are age-appropriate expectations or are addressed by the curriculum.
The codes listed at the top of this pictures are learning domains and standards that are aligned with current national, state, and accreditation early learning standards. They are represented through age-appropriate integrated learning experiences in the Balanced Learning® curriculum throughout the year. The learning outcomes are assessed through observation and discussion during large group, small group, Children’s Choice Learning Centers, outdoor play, and transitions.

As part of the Wonder Time 2 activity, our little Early Preschoolers used a dropper to get water from a cup and drop the droplets of water onto different paper shapes. They observed what would happen when the water was put on the paper.
Week 1 of our Virtual Learning Support class went by so smoothly!

Happy Pre-Super Bowl Friday!! These fun little treats will be going home with each family this evening! 🏈
For the month of February, I would like to highlight Ms. Stephanie Perkins as this month’s Apple of the Eye. Ms. Stephanie is the Assistant Director at our school, but that’s not all. She wears many hats during the day and we are so thankful for her dedication to our school. Ms. Stephanie has been a part of our Primrose Family for almost 6 years. She started out as our Private Pre-K Assistant Teacher, then she was the Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher and the Explorer Club Lead Teacher. Ms. Stephanie continues to go above and beyond for not only our current families, but for prospective families, the children and of course, the staff. Ms. Stephanie’s 3 children; Riley, Jaxon and Briella, have all been through the Primrose program so she knows first-hand how amazing the Primrose curriculum is.
Ms. Stephanie, thank you for ALL that you do for the Primrose School of Mansell. We are so grateful for you, your family and all that you have done and continue to do. ❤️

We are so thankful to have been given the opportunity to teach these little minds for the last 100 days, even with the craziness around us!
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the children learned all about what he stands for and that we should love all people.
The Private Pre-K children observed two different colored eggs and cracked both of them open. The students discovered that although both eggs looked different on the outside, they both were the same on the inside.
The Preschool children discussed what their dreams were and as you can tell, they used their imagination very well!
