Congratulations to these two wonderful ladies for being the Apple of Our Eye for October 2020! We are so thankful to have such hardworking teachers like Mrs. Chera and Ms. Alyssia. They went above and beyond with helping all the virtual learning students these last couple of months!! 🍎
Diversity may seem like a complex lesson to tackle with young children. However, in today’s global world it is important to teach children to appreciate different cultures and embrace the various qualities that make each individual unique. To help introduce children to global cultures in a fun and meaningful way, the children celebrated diversity and inclusion at our annual celebrating cultures event. The students created art that represented their personal cultures and were also encouraged to come dressed in their cultures traditional wear. This fun event allows our students to learn about cultural awareness, respect, and valuing others! 🌏❤️
Congratulations to the Guzman family for being our Family of the Month for October 2020! Learn a little more about the Guzman family: "Hi! We are Team Guzman! Oliver, or Ollie, is 9 months old and has been attending Primrose since he was 5 months old, shortly after we moved here to Fort Worth. Dad (Pablo) is a Sales Rep for a healthcare company and Mom (Crysta) is a Planner for the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Ollie has two dog brothers, Barron and Maximus, that he loves playing with. In fact, in most pictures of Ollie sitting on the floor playing you'll also see one of his dogs sitting next to him. Ollie enjoys playing with balls and blocks and any toy that he can make music or noises with. Right now he loves books with babies faces and will smile and reach for them. He also enjoys being outside and going for walks on the trails. At home we call him "Happy Feet" because his feet are always kicking and moving! Ollie is always laughing and smiling and is such a joy and blessing to our family! We love the Primrose staff and the care that they have shown for our sweet boy. We are so thankful for the ability to send him here and be part of this community."
Just another fun filled Friday here at Primrose! We hope everyone has a great weekend 😊✨

Learning citizenship is part of every Primrose student’s experience. That’s why Veteran’s Day is a perfect time to celebrate our bravest citizens. This Veteran’s Day, we show what it means to be a good citizen by extending extra gratitude to our cherished veterans by creating a hallway of heroes board! 🇺🇸❤️
This week in our Preschool Pathways classroom the children learned about dinner time! Our teachers placed play food and dishes in the dramatic play center. The children took on family roles, assisted with setting the table, and passed foods while eating. We encouraged the children to have a family dinner together. Our Pathways teachers put a twist on the lesson and created a Mexican restaurant😊🌮🧡
Congratulations to the Mckenna family for being our Family of the Month for November 2020! Here is a little more information about their family: "The Mckenna family started back in 2012. We are a 9 year military family. April 2016, Aubriana showed up in the world while we were living in Virginia Beach, VA. In May 2019, our little Sadie was born in Destin, FL. The girls have 2 big puppies, Elvis and Xena. Aubriana's nickname is "The midget" because she looks just like her daddy. She is sassy and loud and loves to play outside in her princess dresses. Sadie's nickname is "Sadie bug" because she was born a small preemie and loves to always be "hanging around". Although she is still tiny, she loves to talk and chase her sister wherever she goes. The girls started Primrose at ages 3.5 and 3 months old. Before moving to Texas, we researched many daycare options but always had Primrose at the top of our list. While taking our tour (before Sadie was even born) we knew right away that Primrose was perfect for us."
The U.S. presidential campaign is in full swing. But did you know that our Pre-K and Kindergarten students have geared up for an election of their own? Our Election Day event is not associated with the current election; however, our very own Percy and Mia are running for the title of presidential Primrose Friend mascot. Election Day at Primrose isn’t about who wins or loses. It’s about showing the students why voting is important to all Americans and helping students understand civic involvement and citizenship in an engaging way. Children were introduced to these responsibilities through activities and projects that help them become aware of their community of friends in their classroom and their neighborhood. It’s our mission to create a brighter future for all children – both inside and outside our school. Understanding the importance of civic responsibility gives our students the foundation they need to make a difference in the community at all levels. 🇺🇸✔️📮❤️💙
Congratulations to Mrs. Vickie for being the Apple of Our Eye for November 2020! We are so lucky to have had Mrs. Vickie be apart of our Primrose family for all of these years. She has such a kind spirit and we love having her!
Today we wore RED to show our support for the American Heart Association and encourage our community to be heart healthy by getting their blood pressure checked, staying active, and making smart dietary decisions. Go red day is also a great opportunity to bring awareness to those born with a congenital heart defect, just like with Callie Harper, the daughter of one of the leadership members, Ms. Brandi, who used to work here at Primrose. Her daughter was in the icu for 163 days after birth and at almost 4, is about to have her 3rd open heart surgery. By bringing awareness to this, we hope to help develop better medicine and a cure. ❤️
To kick off the Super Bowl Sunday celebration, we wore jerseys to show support for our favorite teams! Who will you be cheering for this Sunday? 🏈🏟❤️
Happy GroundHog's Day! While working on groundhog themed activities involving blending sounds, colors, shapes, and shadow matching, we talked about how Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today meaning there will be six more weeks of Winter. Brrrrr🥶❄️
Happy 7th anniversary to our Explorer teacher, Mrs. Vickie. We are so grateful to have had Mrs. Vickie be apart of our Primrose family!
We were in for a yummy treat to celebrate National Chocolate Cake Day! Our awesome Chef baked the staff and student’s delicious chocolate cake to enjoy. Any excuse for cake...right? 😄
