Today in our Wonder program we explored some different calming techniques. We made calming bottles to put in our cozy area. We also learned that we can pretend to sniff a flower or pretend to blow out a candle. We also learned that deep breaths could promote a sense of calm.

Benjamin the bear is the happiest when playing outdoors. He loves to climb trees, play in the forest, stomp in puddles, and smell the flowers. He cares about our earth and likes to make the most of what it offers, including yummy mud pies.

Signing with children can have many wonderful benefits. Even though very young children are developing the ability to understand much of what we say to them, it’s difficult for them to communicate their specific wants and needs. Research shows that babies understand words and signs well before they can produce either. Using words along with signs promotes and strengthens early language development because it gives children a tool to express themselves.

"Read Under the Stars" with our Pre-Kindergarten I class this week! In both Pre-K classrooms, the students used flashlights, sleeping bags, and other camping accessories to add to our dramatic play area "campsite!"
What are your favorite books to snuggle up and read? It is Og the Bookworm's Birthday month and we are having a Book Drive! Please drop off any new or gently used books to the front desk to be donated 🥰
No one loves sharing the love of reading more than our favorite bookworm, Og! During the month of February, our students are collecting new or gently used books to donate to Frisco Family Services.
