Congratulations to Mrs. Marilyn for being the Apple of our Eye for the month of October! Ms. Marilyn is one of our wonderful preschool teachers. Her family is from Mexico and she is fluent in Spanish. She has lived in Dallas for the majority of her life, but was born in California. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social work from Texas Women’s University in 2015 and is planning on going back to school to earn a degree in Bilingual Education. Ms. Marilyn has been teaching for 14 years and this will be her third-year teaching at Primrose School of Richardson. She was inspired to become a teacher because of the help and support she received when she was going to primary school. Beginning school, she knew very little English and through the support of her teachers she was able to learn and exceed academically. She wants to give the same support to students that might also have some of the same challenges that she faced when in school. Ms. Marilyn’s favorite part of being a teacher, is building relationships with her students through learning, laughing and playing together. Everyday her students are very excited to see her, as they love learning new things and asking questions about what they are learning. Ms. Marilyn’s love and devotion to her students is definitely seen through the daily impact that she has on her students. Her students love learning new things and always make a great amount of progress throughout the months. Ms. Marilyn is very happy with the impact that she has had on her students here at Primrose School of Richardson. She hopes to learn more as a teacher, so that she can help her students’ progress even further. Thank you, Mrs. Marilyn, for all that you do for Primrose Richardson every day, we are lucky to have you as a part of the Primrose family. We Think You’re Pretty Awesome!
is that.. is that? WONDER TIME?! Our toddler teachers are so engaged and interactive with your kiddos.
Congratulations to October’s family of the month, the Wernicke Family! They are a family of four and don’t have any pets; although they do enjoy being around friend’s and family’s pets. The Wernicke boys have been students at Primrose Richardson for one year. Each morning, they are eager to leave the house to go to school. After the boys have their temperatures taken they race through the door ready to get to his class! The boys specifically enjoy all of the activities that they have experienced at school such as the in-house field trips, weekly splash pad, the pony ride, the hat parade, and the holiday celebrations. The boys also enjoy playing in the centers, doing heart and harmony, and eating the yummy food made by chef D! We are so happy that the Wernicke family is part of the Primrose Richardson family!
Nothing like a nice Popsicle to bring some sunshine to the day. #isitfridayyet #yummm #preschoolgoals

Election week was a huge success at Primrose School of Richardson where Percy and Mia ran for Primrose Presidential mascot! After the children voted, the Presidential Mascot is (drum roll, please) PERCY!! The day was also full of fun and educational activities that helped the students understand why voting is important to all Americans and understand civic involvement in an engaging way.
It was Election Day at Primrose School of Richardson! We had the privilege of our local councilman, Steve Michell, talk to the children about his job as a councilman for the city of Richardson, the importance of voting, and being a good citizen. Mrs. Michelle is one of our wonderful Older Toddler teachers. She has lived in the Richardson area her whole life, and resides with her husband and her cat, Tiki. Mrs. Michelle has been a teacher for the past six years working with two years old’s, but this is her first year at Primrose Richardson. Mrs. Michelle was inspired to become a teacher through her mom. Her mom was a director at a school the whole time she was growing up and she wants to be as amazing as her mom is one day. We think she is already an amazing teacher though! Mrs. Michelle’s favorite part of being a teacher is making her children feel loved, watch them grow and help their sponge like brains learn new things every day! Ms. Michelle’s students love is definitely seen through their daily hugs and sweet morning greetings when Mrs. Michelle arrives in the classroom! Her students also love learning new things through Mrs. Michelle’s favorite activity, art and crafts! Ms. Michelle has made such a significant impact on her students and is excited to watch her older toddler classroom learn and grow even more! Thank you, Mrs. Michelle, for all that you do for Primrose Richardson every day, we are lucky to have you as a part of the Primrose family. We Think You’re Pretty Awesome!
Congratulations to November’s family of the month, the Casey Family! They have attended Primrose Richardson since July 2018 since they moved from Los Angeles. They are a family of three and have a Boston Terrier named George. Fun Fact! Olivia, 3 years old, has matching costumes with George every year for Halloween. This past year Olivia and George were Guy Diamond (Gorge) and Tiny Diamond (Olivia) from Troll World Tour for Halloween! The Casey’s love the Primrose School or Richardson! Olivia enjoys coming to school every day and seeing all her friends in her Preschool classroom! Her parents love the Primrose balanced-learning curriculum and are always amazed at the new things Olivia is learning and taking in. Oliva’s parent always enjoyed the various classroom parties that the Preschool classroom hosted before Covid and are looking forward to being apart of them in the future. Olivia specifically loves Cookie Fridays and Splashpad days in the summer! We are so happy that the Casey family is part of the Primrose Richardson family!
This week our students are learning about morning/night time routines like getting dressed, brushing their teeth and having breakfast.☀️🌙⭐️ For Wonder Time 2 students in our OT class read a book and looked at experience cards about what type of foods are served at breakfast. Then the students were invited to the table where Erwin the Dog talked to them more about breakfast foods and encouraged them to make their own breakfast foods with modeling clay. The children had fun making their foods, and they looked delicious! 🧇🥞🍳
