Our Preschoolers are staying busy and having fun with their math lessons this week! Solving problems and creating charts are just some of the activities they have participated in so far! 📏📐🗄

✨Look at those sweet faces!✨ Today during Wonder Time, the Young Infant class listened to the song “My Face”. While they listened to the song, the teachers held child-safe mirrors for the children to look at themselves and label their facial features.
The Herzog family has won all of our canvases and decided to make a larger total donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Congratulations on winning those amazing works of art and thank you for your donation! We know Olivia's playroom will be bright and vibrant! :)
Back in March we planned to host our annual Spring Fling event to raise money for a local children's charity. Due to COVID, we decided to postpone our event and have been storing these incredible classmade canvases ever since. We have decided that these amazing creations need to be shared with our families. Although we cannot host our annual Spring Fling any time soon, we have decided to still host the silent auction to raise money for breast cancer awareness in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Each canvas was made using the students' handprints, fingerprints or footprints. To place your bid, please comment on the photo of the canvas you are interested in commenting with the dollar amount you wish to bid. By Monday, October 5th at 1:00pm, we will close the auction and the canvases will go to each highest bidder. All proceeds will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Canvases will be available for pick up once the auction ends. Payments can be made via check or Venmo.
And.....Abracadabra!🧙♀️ The students were pleasantly surprised this morning as they walked in and found that their pumpkin seeds grow over night into real pumpkins! Each student was able to pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home 💕🎃
The children had a special visit from the Pumpkin 🎃Fairy 🧚🏻♀️ and planted their pumpkin seeds.

The Toddler class is having fun exploring things they might see outside. During their Wonder Time activity they talked about the texture and size of each item they see in the sensory bottles!

Come to Our Book Fair!
Today in our Preschool program, the students read the book, Seasons, by Sian Smith. They worked to identify the author and discussed how the book is a nonfiction book because it gives us information. They then discussed the seasons and shared the types of clothing we wear in Fall. To extend the lesson, they student were able to paint with Fall colors using feathers.
Happy World Kindness Day! Our students made our local Round Rock Fire Department at Station #7 cards to sprinkle their kindness around! We appreciate all they do for our community including taking safety COVID precautions with the delivery of the cards. We hope they bring a smile to their face!

Mindfulness Monday: Help us fill our Food Drive boxes!
Our students are learning this month about ways to be caring. What a wonderful way to teach such an important trait by encouraging them to participate in chores to earn money to put towards their virtual HEB shopping experience to buy canned food for the drive. Even the younger students can jump in by bringing their items to place in their classroom box.
The Round Rock Area Serving Center will receive our donations, which will help serve the families in our community. Let’s all join together to make this the best Canned Food Drive ever!
What a fun week it's been in our Preschool Pathways classroom! The students have been busy exploring the outside to make a nature collages, painting with nature type materials, reviewing numbers with a hands on art activity and so much more!
