Is voting about winning or losing? What happens if half of the class wants to read about dinosaurs and the other half wants to hear a story about cars? We speak to our children about having a tie-breaker. When an even number of people vote sometimes there will be a tie. How do we decide what to do? Problem solving is what we do best! At Primrose School of Sandy Springs North, we teach our children about positive outcome and being flexible. #partnership
Voting can help children make a fair decision about what to do when we donโ€™t agree. Ask your child to think of a time when taking a vote might help. What could you vote on with your friends? What could we vote on as a family? How do we make sure the vote is fair? At Primrose School of Sandy Springs North, we allow our children to speak up and use their words, together we can be heard! #ChangeIsComing
An election year gives us a great opportunity to talk with our children about fairness and making decisions as a group. Voting not only gives children a voice, voting helps children use their power of descion making as well as their critical thinking skills. Our children at Primrose School of Sandy Springs North, voice was heard! #WeVoted2020
According to USDA, more than 41 million Americans face hunger, including nearly 13 million children. This is a scary statistic, but thankfully, thereโ€™s something we can do about it. This November, weโ€™re taking on hunger and helping Primrose children develop lifelong character traits like compassion and generosity through our annual Caring and Giving Food Drive. As one of our Primrose Promise Giving Events, Caring and Giving is a hands-on character-building initiative that gives children the opportunity to learn and practice giving back firsthand while developing math, planning and nutrition skills. At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our Caring and Giving Food Drive is just one of the ways we help children develop important character traits like kindness, compassion and generosity though our exclusive Balanced Learningยฎ approach. We invite you to participate in this event with us. Through Nov 20th, weโ€™ll be collecting non-perishable food items. Thank you for your support as together we create a brighter future for our community

Fun fact: 1926, historian and journalist Carter G. Woodson started "Black History Week" to focus on black history and culture, which was left out of school curricula. Initially celebrated each year during the second week of the second month. Black history grew so strong that eventually the holiday expanded to the entire month.
Happy Black History Month, At Primrose Schools, our mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children is a beautiful reflection of our long-held commitment to honor diversity, equity and inclusion, which has influenced our actions.
