Today is Working Parents Day and to say 'thank you' to our hard working parents, our students made our famous Primrose Banana Bread! The students followed the recipe, added all the ingredients in the classroom, and then attached homemade cards to their box of baked bread to present to their family. A special shout out to our amazing Chef Rubye for spending her Sunday making and baking the delicious 'germ free' bread our parents actually received. 😉 We truly appreciate our hard working families and we hope you enjoy your special treat! ❤️
During Celebrating Cultures month, our Primrose Friends traveled to foreign countries to learn more about different cultures around the world, and sent postcards to report back to our students! Our Explorer students delivered the mail to the classrooms. Each class received a card from each of the 12 Primrose friends, and the students were encouraged to write letters back to the Primrose Friends as well!
At Primrose, September is Celebrating Cultures month. Friday we asked our students to bring a cultural item to share at show and tell. It is a way for our students to get to know each other by sharing about their own families and cultures. The goal is to create an understanding and appreciation--at an early age--of ways we are alike and ways we are different and to celebrate what makes each of us unique while encouraging respect and compassion for others.

According to USDA, more than 41 million Americans face hunger, including nearly 13 million children. This is a scary statistic, but thankfully, there’s something we can do about it.
This November, we’re taking on hunger and helping Primrose children develop lifelong character traits like compassion and generosity through our annual Caring and Giving Food Drive. As one of our Primrose Promise Giving Events, Caring and Giving is a hands-on character-building initiative that gives children the opportunity to learn and practice giving back firsthand while developing math, planning and nutrition skills.
We invite you to participate in this event with us by donating online to the San Antonio Food Bank by clicking the link below by 11/30. For every dollar that our families donate, they will be entered in a drawing to win a week of free tuition!
