October is Fire Prevention Month and we had the pleasure of having a visit from the Spring Klein Fire Station 75! The children were able to see the flashing lights and hear the sirens as the truck paraded through our parking lot. Thank you to all first responders for everything you do! 🧑🚒
Sign language provides your infant with a means to communicate important wants and needs without words. Our Infant teachers use signs as they naturally occur throughout the day while, feeding, diapering, and during play. You also receive a set of sign language cards to use at home when you enroll!

The children in our Preschool class begin to distinguish the sounds in spoken language through word-play games, nursery rhythmic activities, letter/sound relationships and foundational phonemic awareness through the Primrose Friends Phonics Program. Way to go Preschool!
During Unit 1 the children learned about a famous artist, Frida Kahlo. They read a book about her life, Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos and studied an art print, "The Frame". The art print was a self-portrait of Frida Kahlo. Each week during Early Art Masters the children learned about drawing their own self-portraits. Then they used oil pastels and made their very own picture. Make sure to stop in the vestibule to see the work of Kindergarten Artists.

Today in our Early Preschool class, we explored how water moves on a smooth surface. We dropped drops of water onto wax paper. Then we gently moved the trays to watch the water droplets move around in various directions.

Today we listened to the story, ABC Oceans by American Museum of Natural History. After listening to the story, we moved like animals in the ocean around the classroom. We also used the sensory table to decide which animal belongs in the ocean and which animals do not.
