Our Caring and Giving Food Drive has officially BEGUN!!
At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our Caring and Giving Food Drive is just one of the ways we help children develop important character traits like kindness, compassion, and generosity though our exclusive Balanced Learning® approach.
According to USDA, more than 41 million Americans face hunger, including nearly 13 million children. This is a scary statistic, but thankfully, there is something we can do about it.
This November, we are taking on hunger and helping Primrose children develop lifelong character traits like compassion and generosity through our annual Caring and Giving Food Drive. As one of our Primrose Promise Giving Events, Caring and Giving is a hands-on character-building initiative that gives children the opportunity to learn and practice giving back firsthand while developing math, planning and nutrition skills.

Today we looked at the art print Blue Moon by Leonid Afremov. We discussed the examples of value we saw in the print and talked about how the artist created value.
Then we explored value by creating value scales. A value scale is a tool that helps compare values of color. First, a main color (a pure color, or hue) is chosen. Then the hue is made lighter by adding white to create tints of the color and made darker by adding black to create shades.
Yesterday during Small Group Literacy, we worked together to create a sentence story using the words I, like, and to. The children used their imaginations to come up with some wonderful sentence stories!

Step 4: Be sure to tell relatives! They can mail letters to the school and we will deliver to your child!
