Good nutrition is a key part of our Healthy Bodies program that promotes healthy eating and an active lifestyle. We know that the right food at the right time not only boosts energy, but can elevate a child’s mood and thinking skills during a crucial development stage. That’s why Primrose School of Wayne is staffed with an amazing chef named Ms.Semah who follows a balanced menu plan from our National Nutrition Expert to provide fresh meals and healthy snacks. It’s a vital feature of our Healthy Bodies Program, so you can rest assured that your little one is eating well throughout the day 😀

Crazy Hair Day in our Pre-Kindergarten Classroom 😀
At Primrose, Election Day isn’t about who wins or loses. It’s organized to help our students understand the importance of civic involvement and citizenship at an early age. Children begin to learn these responsibilities through activities and projects that help them become aware of their community of friends in their classroom and their neighborhood. We want children to enjoy giving back to their local community. Voting is a great way for each of them to get involved and feel connected. Plus, by letting them vote it shows them how voting can impact real life. We hope that today’s event will become topics for our students and their families at the dinner table leading up to tonight's results in the presidential election🇺🇸
This past Friday we celebrated one year Prim-versaries with Ms. Holly, Ms. Kayla, Ms. Sam and Chef Semah! From unpacking our first deliveries and setting up our classrooms to welcoming our first children, these amazing ladies have been so dedicated and hardworking! We are so happy to have you as part of our Primrose family! Thank you for all that you do for our children! 🥰🤗🤩
HEALTH & SAFETY MONDAYS: Frequent washing of hands by Teachers and children will minimize the spread of germs. Practicing these simple yet very important life skills are teaching our children the fundamentals of keeping safe and staying healthy.
Thank you to everyone who made it out to our Halloween Parade !! 🎃
Congratulations to Ms. Madison and Preschool 1 for receiving the most amount of LIKES for our fall door contest. We received such an overwhelming response from all of our family and friends and your participation means the world to us! Because all of our faculty and children worked so hard, we will be giving a pizza party to the entire school. Early Preschool came in very close taking second and Preschool 2 following in third place🙂 Well done to all of our classrooms for getting so creative and making this such a fun event!
World Kindness Day is an international holiday that was formed in 1998, to promote kindness throughout the world and is observed annually on November 13 as part of the World Kindness Movement. World Kindness Day presents us with the opportunity to reflect upon one of the most important and unifying human principles. On a day devoted to the positive potential of both large and small acts of kindness, try to promote and diffuse this crucial quality that brings people of every kind together. Today all of our classrooms wanted to thank our local community hero's by making different cards & signs to show their appreciation. Thank you Officer Cole from the Wayne Police Department for stopping by our school to pick up the children's artwork😀
Happy Veteran’s Day! While only once a year, we are thankful EVERY day to all the men, women and their families who sacrificed so much for our Freedom!
A tornado is a type of storm in which powerful rotating winds form a column, which reaches from a cloud down toward the ground. ... Such violent winds can flatten buildings and whip heavy objects, such as cars, into the air. Our Pre-Kindergarten class has been learning all about different types of weather. For their monthly bulletin board the children used their imaginations to create something so powerful like a tornado🌪
Congratulations to The Sanagorski Family 😀
Primrose Sharing & Giving Event 🦃
Here at Primrose School of Wayne we took on hunger and helping Primrose children develop lifelong character traits like compassion and generosity through our annual Caring and Giving Food Drive. As one of our Primrose Promise Giving Events, Caring and Giving is a hands-on character-building initiative that gives children the opportunity to learn and practice giving back firsthand while developing math, planning and nutrition skills. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our families for donating all of these items for families in need at the Wayne Food Pantry. This is what Caring & Giving is all about. Our children learned so much throughout this process of what it is like to be part of a community within the school and town🦃 Please Share in honor of everyones thoughtfulness & hard work.
For Wonder Time 2 our Early Preschoolers created turkeys together. They used the different feathers they have decorated throughout the week to finish their holiday master pieces. We love how unique they turned out🦃
Today for Steam Project Time, our Preschoolers were creating their own Signs of Fall 🍁🍂 The children were describing different seasons and their effects (winter, spring, summer, fall). They were recognizing writing comes in different forms and for various purposes of communication. Then they began to dictate labels, sentences, stories, experiences, events, thoughts, ideas, feelings
Health & Safety Monday! Primrose School of Wayne screens childrens temperature upon arrival in the morning and also in the afternoon to ensure the safety of the school.
At Primrose Schools, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. We take great pride in our 35-year history of delivering a premier early education and care experience for children and families. A fundamental element of our Primrose culture, and an important lesson in our Happy Hearts character development program, is expressing gratitude. Primrose Schools is, and has always been, a values-based brand that respects diversity and inclusion. To accommodate flexibility within our diverse school community, the children in our school will begin reciting a new Poem of Thanks to express their thankfulness prior to lunch each day. Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday🧡
Our children wanted to share what they are most thankful for this year........🦃 We at Primrose School of Wayne are most thankful for our wonderful families, our health, our phenomenal faculty and our amazing children🧡

Today our Early Preschoolers are finishing the mural by adding silver snowflakes and other winter-themed material. The children dipped their fingers in the silver paint and dot snowflakes on the mural❄️❄️❄️❄️ The children participated in teacher-directed art activities and showed interest in objects in the environment (e.g., pictures, photos, and mirrors). They explored a variety of simple art forms and used simple tools with control for tactile experience, exploring textures and sensory materials as well as combining them to engage in art processes.
Spread some holiday joy by donating to a child and family in need🎁 We are collecting donations here at the school from December 7th-18th.

Happy Birthday Libby the Lamb! 🎂 Libby’s character trait is Fairness. She is a lovely lamb who likes to listen carefully to Primrose children. She gives everyone a turn to speak, making sure each person finds a voice. She is calm and thoughtful, making sure to hear other opinions before making a decision. At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know and our Primrose friends are the perfect role models for our children!
Today we sent off our holiday cards to our soldiers🇺🇸 We want to teach our children that their personalized signed holiday cards and letters reflect our genuine support and appreciation for our military heroes , letting them know that they are not alone during the winter holiday season. Their messages offer a connection to home, a bridge of caring, and a taste of the holidays to our beloved Warriors.
Today would have been our Faculty holiday party. Due to the recent Governor mandated indoor group sizes, we had to sadly cancel our event. We are overwhelmed with gratitude from Shlomo Gyro grill for his generous donation. Our Faculty LOVED the delicious platters made by him and his team. If you haven’t tried Gyro Grill, definitely give it a try because the food is amazing! Happy Holidays Shlomo, we are so grateful for you! 😊

CULTURAL CELEBRATION WEEK😀 This week we celebrated diversity and allowed our students to learn about and explore different cultures and places of knowledge. This is the perfect time to teach children that many unique and interesting cultures exist around the world and in their classrooms. Our children will learn about ways people are alike and different, as well as engage in a wide range of fun, hands-on Celebrating Cultures activities as they learn about cultural awareness, respect and valuing others. We loved seeing where all of our families originated from and the wonderful traditions they share😀

Our children love Early Art Masters which is one part of our curriculum that helps children explore different methods of painting, apart from using a paintbrush or fingers. The Preschool classrooms worked together in hopes to create a painting using paint, metal balls, and a box! This activity enhances creative development skills along with different ideas, personal choices, and feelings🖌
Everyone seems to be talking about STEAM and what it means. This acronym—which stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics—has become a hot topic in the world of education and in the business community. The practice of teaching by incorporating these concepts into multidisciplinary lessons is revolutionizing education approaches across the country, even for children in preschool. While young children may not be able to understand multiplication or how computers work, they can develop a strong foundation for future learning by exploring STEAM skills and concepts through play and discussion, and then applying those skills through more play In our Pre-K classroom our children get to explore different STEAM skills while having fun :)
This week during small group our Preschool Classroom had some fun with measuring. In this open-minded activity, the children were given measurable volumetric substances, such as water, and a variety of items/ containers to use for filling. ⚗️ 💦 📏 They used a variety of materials to explore number, quantity, amount, measurement, and other math concepts during play, activities, and routines.

Before the officers arrived we discussed the important role police officers play in keeping our community safe🇺🇸 We enjoyed showing our local heroes how much we appreciate their service! This act of kindness is just one example of how we nurture character traits like gratitude and generosity in our classrooms every day. Wayne Police Department

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILLY 💜🎂 Billy the Ducks favorite character trait is "Keeping Promises". Your character is defined by what you do, not by what you say or believe. Trustworthy people are reliable. A promise is a commitment by one person to another agreeing to do (or not do) something in the future. Good character requires doing the right thing and following through on promises. Billy the duck loves to quack along to the tunes on the radio. He taps out a rhythm and sings all the notes with a quack-quack scale all his own. He likes to sing requests from the Primrose children and promises to learn a new song every week💜

Today in Small Group Literacy our Preschoolers were practicing their Upper & Lower Case letters. The teachers helped them review two to three additional letters as needed. We asked the children: Can you find the lowercase letter, ____? Which letters are uppercase, _____? In the Preschool room, teachers guide and extend children’s thinking through meaningful questioning and direct instruction. The children remain engaged while having fun, not even aware that they’re developing skills to prepare them for reading and math! 😊

Today our Pre-Kindergarten classroom finished up their Star Early Literacy ⭐ As you know, reading is a skill essential for all students. As educators here at Primrose School of Wayne, our goal is to help develop and nurture students skills📚 The purpose of our Renaissance Star Early Literacy assessment is to gauge the children's performance on early literacy skills. Star Early Literacy is a computer-adaptive assessment taken on our iPads and uses audio in which a narrator reads the questions to students. The questions each student sees get easier or more difficult depending on how the student respond😄

This month we are celebrating the Baldwin Family and Ms.Sabrina! The Baldwin family has been with us since September and we are so happy to see Abrielle's smiling face and personality everyday. We are so happy to have you as a part of our Primrose Family. Ms. Sabrina is so loving, nurturing, hardworking and one of our biggest team players here at Primrose Wayne. All of the children love seeing you everyday and you mean so much to them and all of us here. We look forward to many more years to come!
For Wonder Time 1 our Early Preschool Classroom used a magnifying glass to look at different insects, and talked about whether they were long or round. They sang a song to the tune of Wheels on the Bus about the bugs we could see 🐜 This activity was a great way to observe and use objects to determine similarities and differences, comparing and contrasting objects, and noticing changes in familiar objects 🦋
Tie Dye Day 🌈
Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️☘️☘️☘️
This morning our infants explored small toy animals. Mia the mouse puppet pretended to run the toy animals in front of them while making the animal sounds for that animal! This activity is great for physical development by reaching for people and objects with one hand and then transferring objects from hand to hand 😀
Happy 1 Year Anniversary Ms. Kiran😀 You have a wonderful voice, silly and sweet personality and a loving heart to all of our children. Ms. Kiran is obtaining her CDA through Primrose Schools and is working very hard on getting the best education she can when working with children. She is creative, hardworking and we value having you as a member of our team.
