Buccal fat removal is a procedure that will remove fat from the inside of the soft part of your cheek. This will give move definition to the mid-part of the face, highlight your cheekbones and reduce some of the roundness of the facial profile. It is a straight forward procedure that can be done in the office in about an hour and is often easier than filling cavities at the dentist. The cheek is numbed and incisions are hidden inside the mouth. A ball of fat that is slightly larger than the diameter of a quarter is removed. There is some swelling in the cheeks but most people are able to go back to work the next day without people noticing. Results begin to be visible after all the swelling resolves.
