Dr. Patel began his medical training at North Carolina State University with an undergraduate degree in biological sciences. He then pursued his dreams in podiatry at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.
After earning his doctorate degree, Dr. Patel served as chief resident at Mercy Hospital/Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. His residency honed his skills in elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, traumatic injury, regenerative medicine, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. During his residency training, he spent a great deal of time in advanced sports medicine under the guidance of Miami Heat podiatrist, Dr. James Losito. He and his residency team also treated elite Miami Heat, University of Miami, and Barry University athletes.
Dr. Patel is board-qualified by the American Board of Foot Surgery to practice podiatric medicine and surgery in Florida. He continually improves his knowledge and training by attending conferences and workshops.
Dr. Patel serves as an associate at Florida Foot and Ankle Associates and is the founder of his own podiatric practice near Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He provides diagnostic services and treatment for bunions, hammertoe, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, ulcers, and other foot conditions.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Palm Beach County Podiatric Medicine Association. He currently has affiliations with West Boca Medical Center, Delray Medical Center and Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center.
As a resident of Florida for the past decade, Dr. Patel enjoys the southeastern coast and the community he serves. He is married to Pooja Patel, MD who is a neurologist working at Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
