I found this little creature on a inspection today in a attic with her babies. It definitely does not look to be a native animal to NY. Does anyone have any idea what this is? My guess would be a chinchilla and maybe it is someone’s pet that got lost.
Update: So we did finally determined that this is a New York State flying squirrel. Just have never seen one before since they are nocturnal animals they are typically not seen.
