Hi. I’m Steve Kennen, the founder and president of Proactive IT. I have been a life-long computer expert, and have more than 20 years of professional experience in IT. My first computer was a Commodore 64 in 1983. My first IT business was MacMaster, started in 1990, because all of my family, friends, and acquaintances turned to me for help with their computers.
After gaining experience in corporate America, I helped start an IT support business in 2001. I founded a second in 2005 with a partner. Both businesses still thrive today. Most recently, I founded Proactive IT in 2007 to serve small businesses owners. I love learning about other people’s businesses, and am passionate about helping small business owners like myself find ways to grow their businesses with technology.
I adore my family. Debbie, James, and Wynne are the center of my world. Their love and support represent everything to me. Ultimately, they are who I work for. When I am not at work or with my family, you will find me playing tennis. I picked up the sport in 2002 and have been hooked ever since.
