Yesterday we shared a link to a $25,000 contest created by Austin Chapman. Since many of you probably don't know that name, here is some background info.
Austin Chapman is a movie producer who was born profoundly deaf. In August, 2012, he was fitted with a hearing aid that allowed him to hear clearly and understand music for the first time. He took his story to the internet, where more than 14,000 people commented on it and it caught the attention of international news media.
Here is an interview he did with Fox News about his experience and the contest he launched to encourage other people to share their own hearing loss stories.
