At Progressive Hospital, we believe in a team approach to long-term, acute care. Each patient has a team of healthcare specialists who will work with the patient and patient’s family to establish the most appropriate long-term care plan. Our goal is to ensure that each patient is as comfortable as possible during her or his stay at Progressive Hospital. All rooms include temperature controls, peaceful surroundings and a 24-hour-per-day visitation policy. We encourage families and loved ones to visit patients during the caring process, including the family pet.
Progressive hospital has 24 beds and has been licensed by the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance since March 2002. We have been Medicare certified as a Long Term Care Hospital (LTCH) as of 2004. Our long-term care hospital is privately owned, meaning we don’t answer to Wall Street when it comes to establishing care plans and operating schedules. Our private investors’ only instructions to the Progressive Hospital’s management team are to “provide the best care possible for patients and everything else will take care of itself.”
Our patients typically have clinically complex acute or chronic health conditions. Typical long-term, acute care plans include treatment for respiratory failure with ventilator management and weaning, wound care and infectious diseases needing IV antibiotics.
