PROSCAPES
Established in 2001, Proscapes is a local full-service company of landscape professionals specializing in a wide range of landscape services for both residential and commercial clients. From concept and design to installation and maintenance, their broad array of services spans the needs of most clients. Fully insured, licensed and bonded, Proscapes proudly serves Whatcom, Skagit, Island and Snohomish Counties. They also serve other areas of the Pacific Northwest for larger commercial projects.

Jerod Barth – Owner and Lead Designer

Like many people in the Pacific Northwest, Jerod enjoyed the outdoors and also had a natural affinity towards creative design and construction. Those interests led to his professional pursuit of building his own landscaping company.

Starting as a one-man lawn maintenance and clean-up service, his goal was to develop aesthetically pleasing yards with reasonable prices and traditional values of being prompt, reliable, and trustworthy. Along with earning income, he was set on earning his customers’ trust.

Jerod has not steered away from his early business philosophy as his services expanded and the business grew. Hiring employees to complement his own skills, he added a variety of landscape talent to the Proscapes team.

Jerod’s role as lead designer is a reflection of his interest and involvement in the day-to-day work. His diligence to continue learning and evolve his company has resulted in well over 1,000 beautifully landscaped homes in Anacortes and surrounding counties over the years. The Proscapes Team

The overall Proscape staff consists of full-time office staff, 15 landscape construction crews, 19 landscape maintenance crews as well as staffing for project management and design. The teams have all the equipment necessary to meet the needs of customers.

Jerod is an active member of the Proscape team and plays a supervisory role in nearly all projects. He is often seen on-site assisting the crews with work and instruction. He ensures that each person is trained on safety measures, on-site professionalism and qualified landscaping skills.

Proscapes, Inc . An Established Landscape Company located in Skagit and Whatcom Counties is looking for a Project Manager to lead our Maintenance Division. Job Description: This position will be responsible for the recruitment, development, coaching, training, and supervision of the employees in our maintenance division. The ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service, communication, and follow up skills and be able to provide our customers with best in class service. Bilingual in both Spanish and English is required. Responsibilities: Supervision of 15-30 employees / 8-9 maintenance crews March through November every year Will reduce to 2-3 crews November through March, and as needed for snow removal Maintains all safety protocols. Ensures that all employees obey all safety regulations Responsible for creating, modifying, and updating routes for each crew, every day Ensures employees have the tools, equipment, and safety gear needed to safely complete their duties Oversees crews and completeness of all ProScapes maintained sites Checks employee timesheets for accuracy and works with the payroll department on changes or special conditions Ensures crews maintain a presentable truck and trailer: clean and properly stored Adjust seasonal workloads as needed Oversees 250+ maintenance contracts in Skagit and Island Counties Responsible for creating maintaining, and updating customer contracts Is the first point of contact for all ProScapes maintenance customers in Skagit and Island Counties Works directly with AR department to ensure accurate billing of customers Provides hands on training to on site employees to accomplish project goals and maintain schedules for timely completion Education, Skills, and Experience: 2+ years in commercial landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, planting, and hardscaping or a combination thereof 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations, Landscaping, or other related major a plus but not required Expected to be hands on with projects and crew members Valid and Insurable Washington Driver’s License Attention to Detail Excellent Communication Skills Capable of interacting with employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner Must be Bilingual in both Spanish and English Pay: This is a Full Time, salaried position.
