One wing all porcelain resin-bonded bridge to the rescue! (Maryland bridge is the wrong term, not that I have anything against Maryland 😂)
Luckily this patient recently finished orthodontics and her occlusion wasn’t tightly intercuspated yet. I was able to overlay the palatal cusp and bring it into occlusion. Doing this also maximized surface area for enamel bonding and I made two light grooves M and D to improve resistance form.
Minimal overlap of canine allowed us to just miss lateral and mediotrusive contacts on the pontic. Lateral guidance picked up by the lingual incline of the buccal cusp of 1st premolar. I know, super geeky post.

Full arch monolithic zirconia implant bridge with veneered gingival porcelain. When you have the restorative space and the proper opposing occlusion, probably the most durable and clean option for these situations. I stayed away from monolithic Zr for many years because the esthetics wasn’t there, but with state of the art milling units and top class ceramists, these are becoming very predictable and esthetic! @nichedentalstudio

Bonded bridge to the rescue! (again). This patient lost a lower incisor and was unable to get an implant due to the lack bone volume and horizontal dimension of the missing tooth. In two visits, we replaced her tooth with a conservative, zirconia based bonded bridge. I chose the lateral root as the abutment as it had a slightly thicker and longer root, but all teeth had excellent bone levels. #prosthodontics #bondedbridge #marylandbridge #minimallyinvasivedentistry
