This reminds me of a quote from American Sniper “There are three types of people in this world: sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs.” “Some people prefer to believe that evil doesn’t exist in the world, and if it ever darkened their doorstep, they wouldn’t know how to protect themselves. Those are the sheep.” “Then you’ve got predators, who use violence to prey on the weak. They’re the wolves.” “And then there are those blessed with the gift of aggression, an overpowering need to protect the flock. These men are the rare breed who live to confront the wolf.” “They are the sheepdog.” Takeaway....ask questions, think for yourself, look at facts, verify and do the right thing.

Right on the money! Kevin C Dandridge September 3 at 6:12 PM · A ship engine failed and no one could fix it, so they brought in a guy with 40 years experience. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. After looking things over, the guy reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine burst back into life. The engine was fixed! 7 Days later the owners got his bill for $10,000. "What?!" the owners said. "You hardly did anything. Send us an itemised bill." The reply simply said: Tapping with a hammer: $2 Knowing where to tap: $9,998 Don't ever underestimate experience.

"After additional review, we agree that the damage to the documentation you provided and your demand for payment" I love getting emails like this from insurer's who wrongfully deny coverage. This one came from a commercial policyholder who we used the insurer's own engineer report against them to demand they indemnify the policyholder. It worked! We get claims paid!

It pays to know ICRS - "747% higher payments with a public adjuster for claims related to 2005 hurricanes." https://oppaga.fl.gov/Documents/Reports/10-06.pdf
301% increase on underpaid claim. Overturned insurer's engineer report without policyholder needing their own. Client text "With all due respect, your email responses make me feel so fortunate to have you on our side, total beast mode replies! I most certainly appreciate it! Just wanted to say thank you!"
Happy, healthy, safe and prosperous 2021 to all!
When insurer's wrongfully denied coverage for this hotel owner, the contractor and policyholder made the wise decision to retain ICRS. We proudly submitted our large claim package of facts and demanded payment. Our independent investigation supported with Pro- Policyholder's facts revealed the insurer's retained "expert" engineer omitted relevant weather occurence data that we found in the exact same weather source cited in their own report! Insurer also misrepresented the availability of discontinued shingles, recommended improper repairs, failed to properly apply matching statutes and did not perform a proper investigation. Now that the facts have been presented, will the insurer in good faith and fair dealing promptly indemnify the policyholder? We'll know in 21 days!

Winter Freeze Claim Named Storm Deductible - Commercial policyholders wondering if a named storm Deductible applies to the February 13–17, 2021 winter storm, unofficially referred to as Winter Storm Uri, which was a major winter and ice storm that had widespread impacts across the United States will be relieved to know that "The National Weather Service does not name winter storms because a winter storm's impact can vary from one location to another, and storms can weaken and redevelop, making it difficult to define where one ends and another begins."
