It’s no secret, we’re a little partial to wood floors around here. And no, we don’t just lay pine floors. Pyne is our last name, not our specialty. Stop by our showroom to see all the beautiful sand & finish wood floor options we have available. There is something for every taste and budget!

Sometimes work and home collides and we get to help each other out after hours as a family. We’ve spent our spare time together the past few weeks on a special remodel, Mom & Dad’s house. ⁣ ⁣ There are so many horror stories out there about family business, and though we DEFINITELY have our ups and downs, good days and bad, we can’t help but feel grateful that we all enjoy each other so much. Working together all day and then working more together after work can stretch the patience thin. It’s pretty darn cool to see how each family member’s strengths compensate for another’s weakness. Somehow, we just balance each other out. Working hard, laughing a lot, getting stuff done. And man, that feels like something pretty rare in these contentious times.⁣ ⁣ Stay tuned in the coming months for remodel updates. We are so grateful to have been able to work through this pandemic. We know there are so many who haven't been so fortunate. 2020 is dark and heavy. In one of our favorite movies, Gandalf says, "I've found that it is the small things... everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Looking through some of the up and coming design trends for 2021 has us pretty excited! One trend that we can totally get behind is the return to rich, warm wood tones. Jean Stoffer does a fantastic job adding to her design with warm wood. Here, the medium toned wood flooring adds richness and depth. We love what the wood stain does to anchor this gorgeous space. So much inspiration here! Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE a beachy white oak! But sometimes the design and feel of a home just screams for the depth that a deeper wood tone brings. An oldie but a goodie! This reclaimed oak floor was pulled from a 100 year old barn. There’s so much beauty and character in those weathered boards. Just think of the things this wood has witnessed and the stories it could tell.

Stumbled across this gorgeous butler’s pantry designed by @jaimeeroseinteriors and had to share with you. This thoughtful design is a great example of how a well chosen backsplash can add another layer of depth and beauty to a space. By taking the tile to the ceiling the eye is drawn up, highlighting the lovely arched window and view beyond. Stunning.
