Yesterday was my birthday...and I say that only because it has meaning in this post.
Birthdays are the time I reflect on my goals and how far I have come. I figure if I have technically gotten a year older...... I should look back at what I accomplished. I mean, this is what I preach, right?
Goals from September 13, 2019: (in no particular order)
Survive upcoming shoulder rotator surgery
Develop a new Mastermind Program
Have 3 on-line programs each bringing on 5 new members
/ month by March 2020.
Take my family away for a week's vacation.
Hire a full time local assistant.
Commit to an exercise program
Grow the business 40% from 2018
Be able to move the goal of cooking classes in Italy into
2023 from 2026.
When I got up yesterday morning......technically a year older, I went in the office and took in a deep breath to begin. Now, I do review them monthly, but on my birthday, I really take stock in this exercise.
But I was nervous. I mean it is the year of COVID.
This is what I found out:
I did survive shoulder surgery. The worst surgery ever for me, and I have had a lot of surgeries. Spent three months in a sling BEFORE I began therapy and I can still cry when I think of the my therapist, Rick, moving my arm for the first time 97 days after surgery. (I decided Rick is a four letter word) But I survived. Almost fully functioning and even though COVID slowed down therapy, I am so much better.
I started my new Mastermind last month!! A bit behind, but the new program is up and running.
Actually have 5 programs on my portal at the moment. COVID gave me time to dedicate to working on new ones and I am just now starting to sell them! Did not sell as many as I wanted to but having more options for business owners is so much more important.
I was not able to take my family on vacation. A big disappointment, but my daughter and I are heading to the beach for a long weekend later this week.
November 15, 2020 a new fulltime VA is starting with me. Not exactly what I set, but I am very happy! We have a plan in place and it is going to be awesome.
I can do a 5 1/2 minute plank...thanks to my cousin's May 2020 challenge. Not a full program, but my shoulder and then I broke 2 bones in my foot, slowed me down. But I still do the plank 5-6 times a week and I consider that a success.
The business has not grown 40% (only 21%). However, with my new networking venture, my on-line programs and Masterminds I am confident I will triple my business in 2021.
And I WILL get to Italy in 2023 for a month taking cooking and wine pairing classes. I am so excited about that. It is one of my BHAG's........Big Hairy Audacious Goals and I will not let it pass.
With everything that has gone on in the last 12 months, I am really happy where I am.
Had I not set those goals in place and reviewed them, I am 100% confident I would not be where I am today. Ready to take on 2021 with a vengeance.
