What was routine pre COVID is now time consuming and difficult, leading to longer than normal wait times at our clinic and limited interaction between our veterinary staff and clients. Today for Worldwide Gratitude Day we would like to thank our pet parents for the patience during these difficult times and entrusting us with the care of your beloved pet!
Meet our newest doctor - Dr. Jacqueline Chaffer! Dr. Chaffer joins us this month bringing a wealth of knowledge to QCAH with her. She graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful South Caribbean island of Grenada and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 12 years. Dr. Chaffer even sees some exotic pets! She was recently accredited as a Fear Free veterinarian and hopes to make all pets a little less stressed about visiting the “big bad vet". She is available for appointments starting Friday, September 18th. Call 919-876-0739 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Chaffer today!
Who's walking who? Joni had her hands full with Diana, Katy and Lacey but the girls were perfect for their exams with Dr. Piver.
Happy Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our amazing clients and all of your beautiful pets! Thank you for allowing us to love and care for your pets, as well as your ongoing, dedicated support. We appreciate and thank all of you!
COVID changed the world for all of us! We implemented new procedures at our clinic (curbside protocol and social distancing procedures) and limited all access to our lobby. THANK YOU for your patience and loyalty during these difficult times. We are still in this TOGETHER!
Quail Corners Animal Hospital is undergoing renovations, but we remain open for business! We will continue to offer convenient curbside service and plenty of parking. However, you may see some folks on the roof or around the building. For the safety of you and your pets, please remain in your cars until one of our staff members greets you.
With the completed construction there will be two new exam rooms and new dental and surgery suites. With these new additions, we can increase the number of patients we see during primary care hours and our patients will continue to receive the high quality veterinary care YOU have come to expect.
Thank you for you continued support and please don’t hesitate to call us at 919.876.0739 with any questions.

Happy Walk Your Pet Month! Getting exercise and fresh-air is a great activity for you and your pet to do together. Where is your favorite place to take your pet on a walk?
Happy Story for Captain Morgan, who survived a horrifying experience. Little 6.5 pound Captain Morgan was outside in his yard when he was snatched by a coyote and carried off into the woods. His owners witnessed his abduction but could not catch up to the coyote. They searched for him in the woods for several hours and amazingly found him crawling back to the house 5 hours later. He was in shock and had several punctures to his abdomen. They immediately brought him to Quail Corner Animal Hospital, where Dr. Baer treated him for shock and pain and he was hospitalized while his injuries were assessed. The doctors discovered he had one puncture that had gone into the abdomen, so he was taken in to surgery where Dr. Adams thoroughly flushed and cleaned the wound and close the tear in his body wall. Captain Morgan stayed with us at Quail Corners for 2 days under the care of Dr. Baer and Dr. Adams to be sure he was stable and that his pain and infection were under control before sending him home. He got lots of love and attention too! We are happy to report Captain Morgan made a full recovery and is back to his normal bouncy little self.
