A front desk agent is responsible for checking hotel guests in and out of their rooms. They are responsible for ensuring that every single guest has an enjoyable experience at the hotel. A few of the main duties of a front desk agent are greeting guests at the front desk, answering any questions, recommending activities and restaurants to guests, and answering any phone calls.
Your central goal is to provide our guest with outstanding customer service and support. As the ‘face’ of our company, the successful candidate will be presentable and friendly, with outstanding people’s skills. One of the most important skills that a front desk agent will have is attention to detail. Another skill is organization as the front desk agent will have to keep track of guests and their requests.
Front Desk Agent Responsibilities:
• Greet guests and provide them with superb customer service.
• Ensure the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies such as pens, forms, and paper.
• Answer all guest questions and incoming calls.
• Take reservations on the phone
• Arrange transportation for guests
• Redirect phone calls to the appropriate department and take down messages.
• Accept all letters and packages and distribute them to their appropriate departments.
• Monitor and respond to Whistle messaging and front desk email.
• Maintain the record of guests that have checked in and out
• Perform bucket check each shift along with any other shift duties that is required.
• Perform task as asked by management.
Front Desk Agent Requirements:
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Top-of-the-line organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Amazing time management skills
• Ability to work weekend or holidays
