This is the 3 minute video on my lectures and workshops that was aired today by the Global Quilt Connection.This afternoon I presented my lectures and workshops quilting programs through Global Quilt Connections Teachers. MUST SEE FABRIC SALE!!! Laura Winckel October 16 at 7:23 PM · THIS IS A MUST SEE SALE OF QUALITY COTTON FABRIC!! Rick is my neighbor, he is selling his mothers collection of fabrics. He is in the house and no there are no signs. This is not a garage sale yet. He is currently selling things as he can. This weekend on Saturday and Sunday he will be there for any who wants to come. The fabric is all high quality cotton quilting fabrics. I knew his mother and quilted for her. She was a wonderful piecer. Rick is selling the fabric by the container. You have to take the whole container. No picking and choosing but trust me this is high quality fabric. You won't be disappointed! Before and after! A little over two years ago I underwent major surgeries to correct the causes of my horrific GERD that was eroding my esophagus and causing acid to go into my lungs. I was maxed out on steroids for my asthma and miserable with all the burning and breathing issues. I underwent gastric bypass surgery and had my esophagus repaired where the acid had eroded it. Along with a hernia repaired. I had a lot of precancerous cells. After two years I am down over 100 lbs, my asthma is gone and as of last week my test show the tissue in my esophagus has healed and there is no longer any signs of cancerous cells. It has not been an easy journey! I am eternally grateful to my surgical team who continue to monitor my healing.

I am focused and steadfast in striving to fulfill my passion of quilting with one main goal in mind “helping others heal”.

Sewing the binding on the curves of this Double Wedding Ring quilt was HARD!!! OH MY GOSH!!! The curves aren't the really difficult part it's where the curves meet that is the challenge. Learning a lot with this "Trash to Treasure". Have watched more videos and will do it differently next quilt. Hand stitching tonight while watching an old western. All the Christmas orders were picked up today. The last one left a few minutes ago. A lot of jobs still waiting and in progress but the pressure is off for Christmas orders. Due to a lack of responses I will not be setting up and sponsoring this QOV National Sew Day on Zoom. I will be sewing in my studio on a QOV project this Saturday.
