What a fabulous chair to sit in!

If my injectable room walls could talk...
...they would tell you of the thousands of patients of every color, race, religion, political affiliation, and gender who have sat in my chair, the “hot seat”. They would tell you that so many are broken, so many have lost self-confidence, so many have worked their entire lives as a mommy or employee or business owner or all three, and have never taken time for themselves. They would tell you of the patients who have cried in this chair, not from the discomfort of injectables, but from the pouring out of their hearts—of loss, of divorce, of disease. They would tell you of their plans of celebration as they beauty-prep for a special wedding, reunion, vacation, or birthday.
To me, this job is so much more than good before and afters. Don’t get me wrong, I love pretty results. But what matters most to me is that my patients find me kind, caring, supportive, and loving. What I love most are the relationships that I have built. The majority of my days are full of “regulars”, who I have treated for many years. It’s almost like seeing old friends and “catching up” all day long. I couldn’t count on both hands the number of times I have heard the words, “I’ve never told anyone this, but...”, and I am so HONORED to be your confidant and friend. I have worked in several fields of nursing, but I find this one the most rewarding because of the long-lasting relationships I have been privileged to develop with so many of my patients.
If you aren’t yet my patient, I can’t wait to welcome you into this room, and give these walls more stories to tell!

A day in the OR:
A significant diastasis with an off center belly button.
This patient received a tummy tuck with SAFELipo of the flanks.
Looking forward to her recovery progress in the upcoming weeks. We already had one post-op patient this week shed tears of joy after seeing herself one-day post-op. Makes us EXTREMELY happy to see our patients have a new outlook on their life!

I’m a born & raised Oklahoman living in Texas, but don’t hold that against me 😉.
I took over @plasticsurgerycenterofdallas in November 2019. I’m excited to provide a high-end & unparalleled experience to all my patients & those visiting #PSCD. I’ve built my practice off of an artistic & detail-oriented eye for aesthetic surgery and natural-looking aesthetic results for all my clients. I was overjoyed when @paulkraft decided to come over & be our Ablative Laser Specialist. The technique & knowledge on him can’t be touched. He knows everything you don’t want to know & protects you from it 😊So many things coming in the future with this one & myself. The attentionn to detail is not just in my eye but my entire team!
I could twirl around the office all day! I am in awe, daily, of our gorgeous renovation!
I went to @uofoklahoma for medical school. Followed by my residency at @mizzouplastics & a year plastic surgery fellowship at the @wallcenter in Shreveport.
The few things I 💗 more than the above mentioned is: my family (📣to my mom, dad, brother & sister 👨👩👧👦), my husband @chris.walker185 , & our fur babies (Gouda, Chuck and Rumble🐶🐯🐱).
Due to covid we haven’t been able to explore our new city as much as we’d like. However, @thecharlesdallas & @nonnadallas we have found to be two of our favorites. But, @sachetdallas is my all-time !!
When not in the office I like to put on my chef’s 👩🏻🍳 & get cooking. Trying to emulate the guru Chef @bobbyflay. Goal in life is to have a chef’s dinner by Bobby! 😉 😉
I also enjoy traveling & road trips in our RV.

TIMELINE TUESDAY
This is another great example that all patients settle at different rates. Another factor, besides muscle, is skin elasticity. This patient had a tight, lower, breast skin tissue to begin with.
Skin elasticity is a component that can make your settling happen faster or slower. We can’t always predict this. We want the skin to adapt to the volume of the implant at it’s own rate.
Just like in weight loss your stretched skin doesn’t bounce back immediately. Same can be true for the reverse.
