Dr. Mehrinfar-Zadeh joined UCLA in June of 2016. She specializes in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac imaging. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, as well as Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT.
Dr. Mehrinfar-Zadeh attended UCLA for undergraduate school where she majored in Biology and minored in Music History. She then moved to New York where she attended New York Medical College for medical school. After medical school she moved back to California and went on to do her residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA where she was given the Excellence in Residency Education Award. She stayed at Harbor-UCLA to complete her subspecialty fellowship in Cardiology, so she certainly is no stranger to UCLA!
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Mehrinfar-Zadeh has regularly volunteered her time to teach trainees at Harbor-UCLA alongside Dr. John Michael Criley. She participated in teaching heart sounds and cardiac physiology to the Cardiology fellows, as well as teaching the basics of the cardiac physical exam to the Internal Medicine Interns. She was also invited to teach at the UCLA School of Nursing with Dr. Criley, where she helped carry out a Heart Sounds Workshop for the nurse practitioner students.
Dr. Mehrinfar-Zadeh is fluent in Persian (Farsi) and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing piano, and being with her family.
