If you're wondering what to expect during a visit to our clinic during these uncertain times, here's a great description for you! We were working on our own post but Lilly Ann said it so perfectly, we decided to share hers with you! Thanks again Lilly Ann!

I just want to give a shoutout to Rancho San Diego Animal Hospital. They are doing a stellar job with safety and sanitation during COVID. Their thoughtfulness is incredible. I was nervous about going because I have not gone anywhere in 2 months because I'm helping care for someone with stage 4 cancer. I left the vet's office with zero anxiety because it was so stress free. Just sharing about my visit for those of you concerned about safety when taking your pets to vets...
On the outside they setup a popup tent with siding in front of the doorway. They stenciled on the side facing the parking lot to call before coming in. When I called they told me they would get everything ready for Bailey and call me, which they did a few min later. They told me to come in thru door number #1.
When I walked over, they had partitioned their double door entryway inside of the popup tent. Upon opening door #1 and entering, they had created a double hallway with plexiglass. There was another customer with her dog on the other side of me divided by the plexiglass. About 10 feet up at the end of each "hallway" there was a podium and the Vet Tech stood on the other side. There was also plexiglass above the podium and in front of the vet tech, protecting us from each other. The had positioned an ipad facing me so they could screen share from their side, showing me Bailey's record and the services I was paying for. When I had to sign, they asked me to get hand sanitizer, then pick up the stylus to sign. I then set Bailey down and he was able to walk over to the Vet Tech. They asked me to wait in the car and they would call me when he was ready.
They asked me to come back in thru door #1. I paid, told them I didn't need receipt. Bailey walked back to me. I grabbed more hand sanitizer and held it in one hand, pushed the door open with the other hand and was then able to sanitize both hands upon exiting before touching my keys.
Big kudos to the team that made this possible so our pets can be cared for keeping the staff, our pets and their humans safe.
