About Us
Dilangani Ratnayake, MD, DABA, is an interventional pain medicine physician who is highly respected by her patients. She is dedicated to helping patients find relief from pain at Ratnayake Pain Management in Palm Desert, California.
Dr. Ratnayake is a diplomate of the Board of Anesthesiology and is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota medical school as a Deans Scholar in 2011 and completed her anesthesiology residency at one of the most prestigious academic centers in the country, the University of Michigan. She then subspecialized in pain medicine by completing an ACGME accredited pain fellowship at the University of Minnesota. During her fellowship, Dr. Ratnayake gained expert proficiency in interventional pain procedures and comprehensive treatment options for complex pain conditions.
She encourages a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of chronic pain. She strives to empower each patient through education and has a special interest in women’s health. Dr. Ratnayake treats a wide spectrum of chronic pain conditions and offers interventional pain management treatment options including ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided, minimally invasive procedures such as joint injections, Botox® for chronic migraines and headaches, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Ratnayake considers it a privilege to help patients suffering from pain improve their function and increase their quality of life and wellness.
Dr. Ratnayake strives to stay up to date with current treatment options for chronic pain. She is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ratnayake enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at Riverside County Animal Services, and practicing yoga.
