Becky started her journey into women™s health care by becoming a Certified Direct Entry Midwife in Alaska in 2008. She loved her work but knew something was missing. She determined that she wanted to provide care to every woman who wanted to have midwifery care, in or out of the hospital. This sent her on an educational journey that culminated with her Master™s degree in Midwifery and Certified Nurse Midwifery Credential from University of Philadelphia. Becky has worked in many roles taking care of women, including a labor and delivery nurse, lactation educator and as a midwife in many different settings, including community based birth both at home and at a birthing center. She is beyond thrilled to be offering her expertise in low intervention birth in a hospital setting. She loves educating women during the course of their pregnancy, and the bond that occurs from watching them grow into family units. She is passionate about listening to women and helping them achieve the best birth experience and healthy lifestyles. A healthy mom creates healthy families. She is excited about participating in creating healthy lives, while also developing lifelong relationships with women and their families here in Houston.
