A short six months ago life changed for everyone. Redlands Community Hospital (RCH) had to undergo a complete transformation to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Leaving and returning home became a chore as the safety of our loved ones became our priority, so we sacrificed our time spent with them to protect their health. Our patients needed us more than ever and so we worked diligently with no end in sight. Thank you to everyone for their contribution to the cause of providing great healthcare to RCH’s patients and the Redlands community. The solidarity, flexibility, and compassion shown by each of you during a time of a global health and economic crisis is an inspiration to all. To honor our Hospital Heroes, a mosaic was created featuring employees, physicians and volunteers as part of Hospital Week 2020. This mosaic is now displayed in the glass corridor near the Maternity elevators (see attached picture of the unveiling). We hope it will be valued by everyone at RCH. As you get a moment in your busy day, pause and reflect upon how we came together for our patients at the time of their greatest need.
Have you noticed a change in your child’s behavior? Cyberbullying is a serious problem that has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers. When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time. Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy. https://www.stopbullying.gov/
