“This is a traditional holiday drink in Puerto Rico. From a young age at Christmas time everyone in my family looked forward to comparing their season's coquito. It was an indirect competition amongst the women in the family who made the best. Over the years everyone started experimenting with the flavors of the traditional coquito and my favorite is the coffee coquito created in collaboration with my mother.”
