Dr. Flannagan received her medical degree from Drexel’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and then completed her residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. She went on to complete her fellowship training in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital. She is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology.
She has published articles on her research with Barrett’s Esophagus, white blood cell imaging, and autoimmune pancreatitis.
Dr. Flannagan is fluent in Spanish. She studied in Spain in high school, did a four-week family medicine rotation in Costa Rica, and another four-week gastroenterology rotation in in Boliva.
