Today we had the opportunity to join a convoy with EastWest Food Rescue to bring food supplies (food boxes, apples, onions, potatoes) to the Yakima Nation in Toppenish. We then loaded potatoes from a commercial potato farm in Royal City to bring to Farmer Frog in Woodinville where they will be unloaded, bagged, and distributed to food banks, community kitchens, grade school food programs and other organizations in the greater Puget Sound area. Due to trade issues and the Covid-19 crisis, Othello and other central Washington area farmers find themselves with unsold storage crops, including more than a billion pounds of potatoes. Farmers are having to choose between destroying remaining stored crops or plowing under new crops. Distribution to people in need is a much better option!

Concrete & Community. We had some very special guests join us in Madrona for our concrete pour. These wonderful neighbors heard that we were going to be bringing in a cement truck for our most recent remodel project in their neighborhood and asked if their kids could come watch and participate. Of course, we were thrilled to have them! Our team busted out the VIP badges, Tonka hard hats, Play-Doh cement trucks, and we even had a small stepping stone craft project that the kids got to work on, filled with concrete straight from the truck, all in a safely cordoned area for the kids to watch from. We had an absolute blast! Thank you Madrona for allowing us into your homes and into your community. We are grateful to have the opportunity to enrich both.

We transformed this Madrona neighborhood's classic 1927 Craftsman Bungalow's basement & garage into a magnificent space - adding a gorgeous bathroom, laundry room, and showcasing the home's original floor joists (which we discovered when demoing the ceiling of the garage) with a coffered ceiling and hidden dimmable LED lights. AMAZING!
