Eccentric shoulder flexion Why do we perform eccentric exercises? Eccentric load exercises involve lengthening of a muscle when force production is most optimal. This exercise demonstration assists with strengthening shoulder flexion muscles prior to moving onto concentric exercises where the muscle has less force production due to the muscle being shortened. Late phase rotator cuff exercises to help strengthen the shoulder. The rotator cuff is a collection of smaller muscles used to stabilize the shoulder joint. This is especially important for our overhead athletes - baseball, volleyball etc. Come get your shoulder right over her at Repair.
