A Message from Dr Mora : Doing what we can at Restore Orthopedics and Spine Center to lower the risk of coronavirus exposure. At the same time we know that patients need help with their serious and painful medical conditions. We routinely spray down counters and maintain social distancing in the office. Masks are worn to decrease sputum droplet fallout onto surfaces. Doing what we can to keep you safe while still being available for those patients suffering with pain. Thank you for helping us with that goal. As always we are here to help.
From our very own Dr Mora- Sports Trauma, Knee Arthritis and Shoulder Specialist: SO YOU WERE ONCE TOLD THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE ONE LEG LONGER THAN THE OTHER? BUT YOUR’RE NOT SURE. Have you been told that one of your legs is shorter than the other? Do you have a limp but no pain? Our EOS Imaging system can measure your legs accurately in less than 5 minutes. Full length, standing, and super low dose radiation. No more guessing. It’s actually the most accurate method to check lengths and angles. No other center in Orange County has this technology. Why is it important to know the accurate difference in leg lengths? Because you’ll know if it’s true and you’ll know what to do about it if it’s bad! MoraMD- More than just Sports Medicine 🙂 Call my office and schedule a visit. I’ll take care of you.
Restore Orthopaedics and Spine Center is proud to offer EOS Imaging-A state-of-the-art, low dose, standing, three dimensional X-Ray system. This imaging option is ideal for patients with scoliosis or lower extremity angular deformities. No one else in Orange County offers this technology. About EOS Imaging When it comes to getting an X-ray or CT scan, many people – especially parents of young children and teenagers – are concerned about radiation. For some patients, EOS is an appropriate imaging alternative that reduces radiation exposure. EOS Imaging is the most effective and safest way to monitor the progress of scoliosis. Pediatric scoliosis patients will no longer have to be exposed to high levels of radiation at every visit. EOS Imaging is also perfect for evaluating lower extremity angular deformity such as severe bowing or knock knee deformities. At Restore Orthopedics and Spine Center we strive to provide state-of-the-art, individualized, Orthopedic and Pain Management care.
Dr Gillman shares his insights on treating chronic ankle injuries. He talks about ankle injuries which are more than just sprains. You might want to see Dr Gillman if you’ve been diagnosed with an ankle sprain that doesn’t seem to want to heal. From Dr Gillman: Not all #ankle #sprains get better. Some require ligament repair and some aren’t properly diagnosed. Shown here is one of the several other diagnostic possibilities. Peroneus Brevis Tendon tear with flattening of the tendon next to healthy round Peroneus Longus Tendon. If you or anyone you know isn’t getting better 6 weeks after an injury best to get checked. While many patients may recover with physical therapy and nonoperative rehab, an exam by a specialist and MRI can be helpful to exclude other sources of pain, and to determine whether surgery may be a potential need or option if you are not making a full recovery.
