Restoring Images isn’t just about cutting hair. Pete Alvarado has been a barber at Restoring Images for 5 years and I’ve witnessed first hand, the hand of God change this man’s heart around for the honor and glory of God!!

Marijuana, frustration, depression, and anger consumed Pete Alvarado before giving his life to the Lord. His past life blinded him and kept him from appreciating the importance of the daily interaction his wife and children longed to share with him. He was controlled by his sin, clutched by the enemy, and often indulged in drug use that brought him false joy that would soon prove unreliable and deceitful.
A simple question from his son, "Will you play with me?" would be the spark that God would use to shed light on Pete's sin. Consumed with his selfishness, he could not find time for his son. Discouraged, his son walked away in tears. At that moment, Pete realized he needed to change.
It was not long after he overheard some of his coworkers talking about their small-group experience. It sparked an interest in him, and they asked him to go with them the next week. His answer was, "Yes, I will go!"
From that day, Pete has continued to say yes to the Lord's calling. After a couple of months attending a small group, he said, "Yes!" and surrendered his life to Jesus. The grip Satan had on Pete was stripped away, and he found himself filled with joy and peace. Pete stopped smoking, consistently attended small group, and continued to grow in his relationship with the Lord.
He was later asked to start a men's small group, and you guessed right, he said, "yes!" and now Pete, who was bound by his addiction, is consumed with God's love. He is no longer angry or frustrated but thrilled to have every opportunity to be with his family. He stands before everyone today, a sober man living for God!

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Help us wish our very own Pete Alvarado a happy birthday!! He’s the oldest at Restoring Images so we call him “ol skoo” 😂😂😂
Pete has been a barber here for 5 years now and also leads a Small Group for men at Gateway Fellowship Church Kerrville. He’s also a Philadelphia Eagles fan which leads to a lot of barbershop arguments with Dallas Cowboy fans lol. Pete also loves to fish in his free time which is usually 20 mins during our lunch time 😂.

8 years ago I was just 24 years old and was given a vision by God to open Restoring Images. He told me lives would be changed here by more than just a haircut! With God being the foundation of Restoring Images we’ve witnessed so many lives changed by the word of our testimony. This year my wife quit her job in the dental field to join Restoring Images and added PMU services to our shop! This has allowed Restoring Images to be a lot more versatile and unique. We appreciate each and every person that walks through our doors and the relationships we are able to build with you for years to come.
I also want to thank every person who currently or previously has worked with us. You all had a part in helping to establish such a great reputation in the Hill Country. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
