Meowtastic Monday Mews: NHA is going to start allowing visitation by appointment to the shelter starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9!!! 😻
So, here's what you need to know. Most days (TUE-SAT) we'll have four adoption times: 10AM, 1130AM, 100PM and 230PM. Each adoption time will allow for three different groups of up to 3 people per group. SUNDAY appointment times are 12PM, 130PM and 3PM.
Each appointment is 60 minutes long. You'll be able to come into the shelter, visit with some of our best adoptable babies and buddies, and even finalize your adoption if there's a match!
Because health and safety is of the utmost importance, we will clean shelter and surfaces after each appointment block. All staff members wear masks, are temperature screened and complete a daily health questionnaire.
For the health and safety of our staff and shelter pets, when visiting Nashville Humane we politely ask that you wear a mask (no exceptions), and do your best to observe safe social distances.
Upon arrival at the shelter (213 Oceola Ave), we ask that you wait patiently near our front doors, and someone from our Pet Services team will bring you into the facility.
We recommend that you review our website and have an idea of who you'd like to meet when you are at the shelter. Each pet's page says whether they are in the shelter or in foster. Any pet in a foster home will require you sending an email and scheduling a virtual meet and greet.
