Compelling words and a roadmap from Georgia Department of Education Superintendent Richard Woods "...We cannot return to the status quo of over-testing and hyper-accountability. We must reimagine what our education system can and must become."

The vast majority of victims who are rescued report that they were sexually abused prior to being trafficked. Preventing child sexual abuse can reduce the incidence of child sex trafficking.
·
Revved Up Kids provides exceptional sexual abuse prevention training programs for children, teens, parents and youth-serving organizations. Each program is designed to teach participants who predators are, how they operate, how to be safer, and how to respond to a predator. Our programs focus on personal safety; many include self-defense for children and teens.

Schools are a safe place for children to learn and grow. Even so, predators position themselves in places where their victims are most vulnerable. We are proud of the students who disclosed to a trusted adult when someone did something wrong.
This is an example oh how smart, strong, safe students know that even people we know can be unsafe and telling someone is the best way to stop them.

Our blog, Revved Up Mom, is happy to announce our guest writer: The Survivor.
·
The purpose of this project is to give a first-hand look into the mind of a sexual abuse survivor and raise awareness about the psychological and physical pain abuse causes to a child and how trauma follows them throughout their lives.
·
We are grateful to the Survivor for sharing her story. We will not be posting any personal information, nor will the blogs contain any identifying information. We ask that you respect her anonymity and be respectful of her vulnerability.
·
Given the nature of the blog, we strongly encourage you to read the *Trigger Warning* before each post.
