The gift wraps come in sizes to fit a small jewelry box (XS), a clutch purse box (S), a shoe box (M), a shirt box (L) and a sweater box (XL). The wraps are reasonably priced between $2 and $7 when purchased individually. ReWraps are hand picked to accommodate any holiday or event. The wraps can be special ordered for any event or customized in a color palette and size of your choosing.
I got the idea of wrapping gifts at Christmas time 2008, when I had a box too large for any of my wrapping paper. I had some fabric in the house and just used it. The more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea. It just makes sense to save money and the environment by using fabric instead of paper.
The fabrics that I have chosen are cotton and cotton/poly blends. I have cut them with pinking shears to reduce fraying. If fraying does occur on reuse, a new edge can be cut very easily.
ReWrap is a company that I started to promote this idea of fabric wrapping. I am very hopeful that this idea will catch on and that fabric wraps become the norm in the future.

Decorative wrapping paper, much of which is made in countries such as China that have looser environmental regulations, can contain lead, synthetic inks, plastic film, chlorine or metal-based foils, which release toxic and carcinogenic compounds into the air when burned. Metallic paper may or may not have a greater environmental footprint than other types, but it’s certainly not meant to be inhaled. Who’s most vulnerable to this indoor pollution? Children, whose systems are still developing. (Not to mention that burning household trash other than yard waste is illegal in many places.
