Dr. Richard Fagin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been serving Peninsula Families for over 30 years. His experience in caring for patients and seeing them through their course of treatment has been his pride and passion. He specializes in the safe removal of diseased and impacted teeth on pediatric and adult patients and the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants.
Dr. Fagin is one of the few surgeons to have been trained by Professor Branemark of Sweden, the inventor of the technology used in today’s implants. He continues to adhere to the principals of evidence-based surgical practice combined with the newest technologies that provide safety and the best long-term outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Fagin resides with his wife, Tish, and their family in Palo Alto. He enjoys biking and swimming, current events, Ultimate Frisbee, his family, and friends.
Professional History
Dr. Fagin earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. After graduation, he served two years in the United States Air Force Dental Corp where his interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery continued. Dr. Fagin completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Delaware Medical Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
Dr. Fagin is a Fellow on the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and serves as a general anesthesia evaluator on behalf of the California State Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Fagin is a member of numerous professional organizations and has lectured on a variety of oral surgery topics. He is a surgical staff member of Mills-Pennisula Hospital.
