COVID-19 Update
Our office remains open. Please know that we take your health and safety, as well as the well-being of our own staff, very seriously.
We follow universal precautions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including diligent hand washing, sterilization of all medical equipment, disinfection of exam rooms and beds after each patient’s use, and rigorous adherence to OSHA guidelines. Because of the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we have implemented additional safety protocols:
1) If you have traveled abroad recently, please call our office at 904-204-5000 so that we may reschedule your visit.
2) If prior to your appointment you develop cold or flu-like symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever or shortness of breath), please call our office at 904-204-5000 so that we may reschedule your visit. It is important that you stay home and get well. Call your primary care provider to discuss your symptoms, or contact the Ascension St. Vincent’s Online Care System for further guidance.
3) We are implementing a parking garage check-in policy. As you enter the Dillon parking garage, please call 904-204-5000 ext. 0 to notify us of your arrival. Once an exam room is available, you will be directed to come into the office. You will bypass the waiting area and go directly to the exam room to be seen by one of our physicians.
4) We ask that you do not bring family members into the office with you during your appointment.
5) All patients who arrive in our office will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including having your temperature taken.
6) To alleviate stress on the city’s medical facilities, we are postponing all elective surgery. We continue to see patients for diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions and injuries, fractures, injections, and acute cases referred from Ascension St. Vincent’s Emergency Room.
7)We will be introducing a Telemedicine option for select established patients. We appreciate your patience as we roll this out; insurance will treat this as a regular office visit from an insurance perspective. We will be calling select patients in the coming weeks to confirm their optional acceptance of this virtual visit.
8)We recommend that you review the CDC’s Coronavirus Resource Page to learn how you can protect yourself and your loved ones from this highly contagious disease.
