Richard Marmon-Halm started his practical accounting training with the accounting firm of Blum, Blake and Lowery in 1972. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979. In July 1980 he became a partner with the firm and was appointed "Partner-in-Charge" of the Auditing Department. At that time the firm had a total of seven partners and twelve employees.
In October 1982 he became the President of ABLM, P.C. As President, he was not only responsible for the administration of the firm, but also performed accounting, tax and audit functions.
In December 1985 he started the current practice of Richard Marmon-Halm, CPA, P.C.
During the period 1972 to 1985 Mr. Marmon-Halm developed an expertise in evaluating accounting systems, planning, supervising, controlling and reporting on audits, tax and other assignments.
He is very active in community affairs and has served as board member/director of The Jamaica Rotary Club, West Hempstead Rotary Club, Queens Centers For Progress (formally United Cerebral Palsy of Queens), Jamaica YMCA, and The York College Foundation.
