Welcome Dr. Harshitha Chandrasekar!!! Better known as Dr. C 😉
Some of you have already had the privilege of speaking with our newest associate, but we wanted to give her a proper social media introduction!
Dr. C was born in India and lived in various countries before heading to Houston, Tx in 2009. She then attended Texas A&M where she received her Biomedical Science degree, and finished her DVM degree at Royal Veterinary College in London.
She loves all things small animal, but is particularly interested in ophthalmology, dermatology, and surgery.
She has a special soft spot for the little fluffy white puppies as they remind her of her beloved family dog, Snowy.
We already love having Dr. C with us, and we know you will too!! 🐾

Meet this beauty queen, Honor Rose.🌹
Dr. Rickords has been treating her for ITP (immune-mediated thrombocytopenia. We dare you to say that 5 times fast!).
In many cases, a blood transfusion is required to replenish red blood cells, but thankfully her amazing owners noticed bruising on her gums while they were brushing her teeth and caught it early.
We’ve been closely monitoring her bloodwork and medications, and we are so happy to say she is on track to a full recovery!!!
This is the perfect example of teamwork between doctors, technicians, and owners to take incredible care of our patients!!

Sometimes our pregnant patients need extra help getting their puppies here safely. Small breeds like yorkies + chihuahuas, and brachycephalic breeds like this bulldog most commonly need assistance. So while mama recovers from her c-section, we get the *terrible* job of keeping the babies warm 😉 You know how much we dread snuggling puppies around here!!!
