HEER Program:
Southern California Edison is giving incentives for home owners to install heat pump systems (ductless and conventional). SCE is giving up to a possible $600/ ton in instant rebates.
We have completed our first two jobs using the HEER program. One homeowner saved a total of $915 on a two zone 2- ton Samsung VRF ductless system, and the other saved $1500 on a 3-ton 2-zone VRF ductless system.
We have been installing ductless systems for over 20 years, and this is by far the best rebate program we have encountered. It’s directly between the contractor and the distributor, with the distributor handling the rebate directly with SCE. The rebate is taken directly off the invoice to the customers. Don’t wait! Going to be a warm summer, and this deal might not last long!

Here are the steps we take:
1) Seal all ductwork, register boxes, plenums, and return air cans. Older ducts may need replacing if they are in poor shape. When ducts are properly sealed we can move to the next step.
2) Once the ducts are sealed, we can “fog” the ductwork with Bio Fresh CD. It’s a deodorizer that inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungi.
3) After the ductwork is fogged, we sanitize the coil (if you have A/C) and/or the blower cabinet with Evap Fresh and Sani CND (both registered by EPA in use against COVID-19)
If further protection for your family is desired, doing the following will help:
1) Upgrading filter cabinet to allow for MERV 13 or higher filters. Anything with MERV 13 and above is proven to capture virus particles.
2) Adding an air purifier (either a separate unit to work with a MERV 13 filter, or an integrated filter/air purifier).
