Moving Moments: “We moved a customer years ago that had 5 cats. It was advised to him to keep his kitties all in one room or bathroom during the move. Unfortunately, he did not take our advice. At the end of loading all his belongings at origin he had 4 cats…one was missing. He was not moving too far and said that he would return to look for the lost cat. The crew traveled to his new house and began to unload. As luck would have it, as they placed the sofa in the living room and unwrapped the blankets…out popped his lost cat. The crew and our customer had a good chuckle over this and good thing he was not moving across the country!!!”

Working with Move for Hunger, a nonprofit organization working with the relocation industry to pick up unwanted, unopened non-perishable food from those who are relocating, RMS can arrange to have the food items delivered to local food banks, where they can be used by families in need. Celebrating Women’s History Month The Trailblazer: Sally Ride (1951-2012) Astronaut, engineer and physicist Sally Ride was the third woman in space, and the first American woman in space, when she joined the Challenger shuttle mission in 1983. She beat out 1,000 other applicants to score a spot in NASA’s astronaut training program and continued as a university professor of physics and the director of the California Space Institute at the University of California when she left NASA. Not only did she go where no woman had gone before, she helped other girls to do the same by starting Sally Ride Science in 2001, which created educational programs and products to inspire more girls to get into STEM.
