Q: Your submissions are sort of niche (and SUPER cool), how were you first introduced to tape art?
A: Having grown up in the artsy Seattle scene, I’ve been exposed to lots of art on all sorts of mediums and sizes.
Q: What is your favorite thing about tape art?
A: I wanted to do art that was large with a low-barrier-to-entry on a shoestring budget and found that tape helped me achieve all those things! It’s not physically harmful to public property and depending on the size of the project, it can be thrown up quickly because of the line art nature of tape.

Her fun fact is that she really enjoys doing voice over work, so if she had to cast someone to play her in an animated movie, she’d just cast herself.

Q: Jewelry making seems like it probably takes a lot of knowledge, and isn’t the sort of thing you just fall into — how were you first introduced to it & where did you learn the skills to do it?
A: Growing up, both of my parents were artists and makers in various mediums so I've never been afraid of making things with my hands. My dad taught me some of his old jewelry techniques about 7 years ago and I have been making all kinds of jewelry since!
Q: What is your favorite thing about making jewelry?
A: I really enjoy the precision of making jewelry, coupled with the flexibility of using so many different materials. I will inlay rubies in to antler earrings for one piece and the next I will be pouring molten silver into a sand mold!

We’ve grown a lot this year & we’re ready to introduce some of our team members you may not have met yet! This is Alex, the newest member of our video production team. Alex loves to play music or board games with his free time outside of work, and his fun fact is that he used to play soccer with teams from around the world.
When we asked who he would cast to play him in a movie, he said Sokka from the animated show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. (We didn’t have the heart to tell him that Sokka isn’t a real person, but is a character voiced by Jack DeSena.) Alex’s favorite local restaurant is Gertie’s, and he doesn’t have any favorite memes (or children) because he loves them all equally ❤️

We have another (yes, ANOTHER!) new teammate to introduce. Meet Andy, our newest Client Marketing Manager. His hobbies include hiking, kayaking and traveling — but mountain biking is his favorite. In fact, he’s done a 200 mile weekend biking trip more than once! 🚴♂️
A fun fact about Andy is that he shares a name with the famous singer Andy Williams, and he’s gotten used to people over the years asking him to sing “Moon River.” If he needed to cast someone to play him in a movie, he would choose Harrison Ford because he likes adventure, and has a great sense of humor (just like Andy!)
