Anyone heading to Havasu for the 1st Annual Lake Havasu Heat
The 1st Annual Havasu Heat Outrigger Race has been rescheduled from April. This a race for OC6, OC2, OC1 Canoes, as well as SUPs. The race offers an approximate 10 mile long course and for the SUPs a 2 or 4 mile short course at Rotary Park adjacent to the London Bridge. Fact #1: The Lower #saltriver does not flow year-round and historically stops paddle-worthy flow/cfs sometime before October.

Fact #2: #blueridgereservoir 🌲 is beautiful to visit and paddle, but it has been incredibly crowded every weekend this year. We highly recommend exploring this lake during the week if you can and book your rental for 2 days so you aren't rushed to get back. It is a 2.5 hour drive each way!😳 Oh, and thank a local ranger and pack-it-in-pack-it-out!

Fact #3: Be flexible. This year has taught us to go with the flow and always have a Plan B. What was open last week, might be closed this week.
